About BAMS
Bachelor of Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) is an undergraduate degree program in Ayurveda, the traditional Indian system of medicine. The program divided into 3 professionals over the course of 5 years and 6 months, including a one-year internship. Students learn about the principles of Ayurveda, Anatomy, Physiology, Pharmacology, and various diagnostic and treatment methods. The curriculum also includes modern medical subjects to provide a comprehensive understanding of healthcare. Some of the subjects in BAMS are- Padartha Vigyan, Ayurved Itihas, Dravyaguna Vigyan, and Maulik Siddhant Avum Ashtang Hridaya. Upon completion, graduates are qualified to practice as Ayurvedic doctors in India and can work in hospitals, clinics, or private practice. The degree is recognized by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM).
SCOPE OF AYURVEDA
Ayurveda has a broad scope that encompasses various aspects of health & medicine. The scope of Ayurveda in healthcare is diverse & expanding. Students pursuing Ayurvedic studies have various career options. The BAMS degree qualifies a candidate for private practice as well as for jobs in Govt. sector. With changing era, the preferences of types of jobs amongst youth is also evolving. Ayurveda, a traditional healthcare science in this 21st century is providing diverse career options even in this era of modernization.

- ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION:
Candidate should have passed (10+2) or its equivalent examination from any recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, Biology with 50% marks and must have qualified NEET entrance examination.
- DURATION OF THE COURSE:
5-1/2 years (4-1/2 years degree course & twelve months of compulsory rotatory internship)
