Rasashastra Evam Bhaishajya Kalpana (Pharmaceutics)
The Rasa Shastra and Bhaishajya Kalpana Department is a core department in Ayurveda that focuses on the preparation and standardization of Ayurvedic medicines. It trains students in processing of metallic and minerals formulation safely under Rasa Shastra and in preparing various herbal formulations like churna, kwath, vati, and taila under Bhaishajya Kalpana.
The Quality Control Lab is dedicated to maintain the highest standards of safety, purity, and efficacy in Ayurvedic formulations. Through advanced testing methods, students learn the scientific validation of traditional medicines.
Analytical techniques include physicochemical, organoleptic and microbiological testing of raw materials and finished products, ensuring quality assurance at every stage.
The museum complements learning by showcasing various specimen of herbal and mineral drugs, traditional instruments and pharmaceutical processes, preserving the rich heritage of Ayurveda.
